Alibre Adds Ten-License ``PRO Pack'' Workgroup Bundle in Response to Strong Customer Demand
Alibre Inc. is now offering the Alibre Design PRO Pack, a new ten-license workgroup bundle of Alibre Design Professional.
The Alibre Design PRO Pack is targeted at small to medium-sized businesses that are looking to make their first move to 3D CAD or to add licenses to existing CAD installations. To help customers jumpstart their deployment of Alibre Design Professional, the PRO Pack comes with ten sets of Alibre Design training CDs that contain over ten hours of video-based training. Optional onsite instructor-led training is available at an additional charge. The PRO Pack also includes a 60-day money-back guarantee that gives customers enough time to train employees and complete a design project all within the return period.
Alibre Design Professional is an extended version of Alibre Design that includes photorealistic rendering, integrated sheet metal design, DesignCheck FEA software from ALGOR, VisualMill CAM software from MecSoft, and the Alibre Part Library for access to millions of standard parts.
The ten-license Alibre Design PRO Pack is priced at $7,500-this represents a 50% discount off the suggested retail price. Onsite instructor-led training is available for an additional $2,500 with purchase of each ten-license bundle. Contact Alibre at 877-525-4273 or an authorized Alibre reseller for details.
"Alibre Design has allowed our engineering department to take the step into parametric 3D solid modeling at a price point that was extremely attractive," said Andrew Netherton, designer at Snowbear Ltd., based in Guelph, Ontario, Canada. Snowbear is a manufacturer of utility trailers, personal snowplows and accessories. Its products are distributed through select retailers in North America.
"We were evaluating other 3D CAD packages to replace AutoCAD, but a single seat of any one of them cost the same as what we eventually spent outfitting the entire department with Alibre Design."
Netherton continued, "We were doing everything in AutoCAD, but found it very restrictive, time consuming, and frustrating. Moving to Alibre Design was not only affordable-less than $1,000 per seat-but reduced our design time by more than half, and allowed much more flexibility in our creations. Parametric 3D solid modeling is the only way to do product design, and Alibre Design is the only truly affordable package that has allowed Snowbear to make that move. I'm very pleased with our decision to go with Alibre."
"Since releasing our five-license workgroup bundle in May we have seen a drastic increase in the number of companies interested in expanding their use of 3D CAD, so we decided to expand our multi-license offering," said Greg Milliken, president and CEO of Alibre. "At $7,500 for ten licenses of Alibre Design Professional, it's comparable to the cost of a single seat of other mid-range 3D modelers, or two seats of AutoCAD! In combination with our 60-day money-back guarantee and optional onsite training, the PRO Pack bundle eliminates the risk of making the move to 3D."
