EVOQE Announces the Release of solidThinking 6.0
EVOQE announced the release of solidThinking DESIGN 6.0 and solidThinking VANTAGE 6.0 which will ship simultaneously for Windows and Mac OS X.
With many new features including G3 continuity fillets, Sketch rendering, and keyframe animation, solidThinking is now even more powerful and offers six great advantages:
1) Users can develop better designs, without limitations, thanks to the power of the numerous modeling tools. You no longer have to choose between Solid or Surface modeling.
2) The unparalleled interactive Construction History makes it effortless to evaluate any design alternative in real-time.

The new Sketch (or non-photorealistic) rendering method allows one to make stylized presentations. It can be used for artistic representations or even, for example, in product illustrations that can be used for printed catalogues. A Sketch rendering can be crucial for communicating ideas at a project's early stages, when perhaps not all details have been defined. Styles available include cartoon, color wash, pencil, ink, paint effects and many more.
Now it is possible to create and render animations directly within solidThinking. A keyframe animation system has been created for designers who want to produce animated presentations of their products, demonstrate unique functions, or show how a product can be assembled.
This new release also introduces several new options for the Variable Radius Round command, including G3 continuity filleting for completely smooth and organic looking fillets, as well as other exclusive filleting options like Self-Intersect, Constant Distance and Set back Corners.
Some of the many other new features include Join surfaces, automatic simplification of Loft, Pipe, and Birail surfaces, a Simple Sky light type for quick Global Illumination, increased rendering speed and much more.
