Theorem Solutions Announces Availability CADverter Revision 8.0
Theorem Solutions has announced the immediate availability of CADverter Revision 8, the latest release of its family of advanced CAD data translators. Incorporating more than 300 enhancements, updates and improvements over the previous release, CADverter Revision 8 not only supports the latest versions of all leading CAD systems, but also adds a series of new products to the company's range.
The new translators are designed specifically to support the CATIA V5, Pro/Engineer Wildfire, Autodesk Inventor, ProductView, VisMock(JT) and ICEMSurf communities. In addition, Theorem has developed these new CADverters using the commercially-available APIs of each CAD system it supports. As a result, the new family of Revision 8 translators offers guaranteed compatibility with the latest application releases from an extensive list of vendors that includes Autodesk, Dassault System, ICEM Technologies, PTC and UGS.
CADverter Revision 8 is also the first release from Theorem to offer a common graphical user interface for both Unix and Windows users. Developed using JAVA, the updated interface presents operators with a common look and feel. In addition, it provides identical operation on the full range of Solaris, HP-UX, AIX, IRIX and Windows operating systems. Accordingly, CADverter Revision 8 can be deployed on a variety of platforms across a network with complete commonality and consistency, irrespective of each user's working environment.
Like previous Theorem releases, Revision 8 CADverters will be available in both uni- and bi-directional forms; enabling customers to tailor installations to their specific requirements.
All new Theorem sales from the 1st August 2004 will be shipped as Revision 8 products, and existing Theorem customers will receive upgrades to Revision 8 under current maintenance contracts. Existing users can also request priority delivery of the new software via a special web page that can be accessed via the link below.
