TransMagic Ships Landmark Release "2005"
TransMagic, Inc., makers of 3D CAD translation software, announced the release of the TransMagic 2005 product line. The new release includes flagship product TransMagic, TransMagic PLUS (which includes CATIA V5 Read/Write capabilities), and TransMagic BATCH for unattended data migration projects. The 2005 release represents the next generation of TransMagic's multi-format CAD translation and repair applications. Many new features have been added to build upon TransMagic's signature ease-of-use and wide range of supported CAD formats. TransMagic 2005 addresses over 80% of customer enhancement requests with an impressive list of new features, file formats, interface updates and CAD version support.

Updated CAD version support for:
• Unigraphics NX2
• CATIA V5 R13
• ACIS R13
• Parasolid 16
Improved handling of CATIA V4 files (*.model and *.exp)
Export of the StereoLithography format (*.stl) for rapid prototyping
3D mesh output for use in FEA applications
Application interface enhanced for ease of use with the following:
• New Right Mouse-Click menu options and expanded Hot-key support added for most functions
• Menus update dynamically to guide the user to make optimum selections
Updated Assembly Browser offers the ability to filter selection of parts or change part names
New tools to measure surface area, arc radius and edge length
New "Unhook Faces" tool allows the user to select and export surfaces for use in mold design
Significant improvement to translation performance and render speed
TransMagic products support most major MCAD and neutral file formats including CATIA V5, CATIA V4, Unigraphics, Pro/Engineer, ACIS, Parasolid, STEP, StereoLithography, IGES and HSF. In addition to 3D CAD translation and geometry repair, TransMagic's products provide extensive file viewing and collaboration tools. TransMagic customers can collaborate and view 3D files over the Internet or email 3D models to co-workers and view them using any Internet browser.
