Spescom Software Appoints Senior Executives
Spescom Software Inc announced the appointment of two senior executives.
Michael Stout is joining the company as Director of Business Development for the nuclear market. Mr. Stout has many years of experience in this environment and was most recently an executive with the PPL Susquehanna nuclear plant. He is also the current chairman of the Configuration Management Benchmarking Group (CMBG) Steering Committee. The CMBG is the industry group recognized by the Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI) and Institute of Nuclear Power Operators (INPO) as the Community of Practice for facility configuration management and associated processes. He has been involved in various roles in commercial nuclear plant operations and design support for over 20 years. Previously, he completed a 20-year career in the US Navy that included destroyer operations, postgraduate education, nuclear training program direction, command of a guided missile frigate and a lengthy tour as chief engineer of USS Enterprise (CVN-65). His tour on Enterprise included a 2-year long "outage": the ships first real overhaul in 17 years.
Mr. Stout is also the Chair of the Nuclear Information and Records Management Association (NIRMA) Configuration Management Committee. He led the effort by that committee to develop and get industry consensus for what is now recognized as the national standard on facility configuration management (ANSI/NIRMA CM 1.0-2000). He has recently completed management of several special projects involving business process re-engineering, funding and development of software applications to support the improved processes.
The second appointment is that of Alan Kiraly, who joins in the role of Vice President Product Development. Mr. Kiraly has over 21 years of technical and management experience in developing configuration management and related software solutions with companies that include Lascom Solutions Inc and Structural Dynamics Research Corporation (SDRC). He has a successful track record of leading diverse teams in developing large-scale enterprise systems in a wide range of industries including aerospace, automotive, utilities and healthcare. He will be responsible for coordinating and planning of all future releases of the Spescom eB product suite.
