IMSI® Announces the Release of TurboCADCAMT Version 2.5

IMSI® ( http://www.imsisoft.com ) announced the release of Version 2.5 of its integrated 2 1/2D milling and turning CAM product, TurboCADCAM.

With updated integration into the latest release of TurboCAD Professional, version 10.1, TurboCADCAM now includes Spatial's interoperability data translators for the popular STEP and IGES file formats. The addition of these mechanical design CAD file formats means that TurboCADCAM now supports accurate data import from nearly all popular CAD systems.

"We are very pleased with this latest release of TurboCADCAM," stated Bob Mayer, Executive Vice President, Precision Design Division. With improved threading functionality, support for ACIS® 11 and Lightworks® 7.4 rendering engine and expanded interoperability support, we believe that TurboCADCAM is perfect for any machine shops doing 2 1/2D milling, drilling and lathing projects," added Mr. Mayer.

Jorge Palma, President CalTECH Manufacturing in Los Angeles, CA said of TurboCADCAM, "I own a small machine shop in southern California and had a need for an integrated CADCAM system, without having an unlimited budget. After visiting all the CADCAM vendors at the WestTECH Design Expo in Los Angeles, only TurboCADCAM and one other software, that was selling for over $5000 per seat, could accurately open the IGES file I brought with me on CD."
