UGS Announces Support for HP Workstations With Intel-Based EM64T Technology
UGS announced support for the HP Workstation xw6200 and xw8200, based on the latest Intel® XeonT processors introduced in June.
These HP workstations, which provide 32-bit performance and support for 64-bit extensions in the future, are the first available Intel Xeon-based workstations to support UGS' NX 2 and Parasolid® V16.0.
UGS and HP worked closely together to ensure that NX 2, UGS' digital product development solution, and V16.0 of Parasolid would support the new HP Workstations as 32-bit applications immediately. In addition, the companies have collaborated to ensure that future releases of both software products will support and take advantage of the available 64-bit extensions. The companies' development relationship also continues to provide ongoing certification, tuning and support of HP products.
