New Versions of Axiom's MicroStation V7 quality Assurance Tools are Faster and Redesigned to Enhance User Experience

Axiom announced the release of new V7 versions of their quality assurance tools SpecChecker, SpecMonitor and RuleManager.

SpecChecker is Axiom's software solution for ensuring CAD standards are adhered to, by correcting any CAD standard violations in one or hundreds of design files automatically. SpecMonitor enforces standards while designers are placing elements, warning when off-standard elements are being placed. RuleManager is used to create "rule files", which put the CAD standards in the format used by SpecChecker and SpecMonitor. RuleManager can automatically extract rules from an existing on-standard design file.

The new versions of SpecChecker and RuleManager boast a newly revised "Rule Wizard," which simplifies rule file creation. Previously, the Rule Wizard crammed all rule-making options into one dialog box. Now, there is a wizard box for each part of every rule that enhances the user experience by simplifying rule creation. Also, users now can edit rules with the Rule Wizard, making rule management easier than ever.

The new version of SpecMonitor displays a new <Reject All> button on its main dialog box. With this, users doing multiple-element manipulations will not have to press <Reject> once for every rejected element. For example, a user doing a fence operation (copy, move, etc.) on a thousand elements at once will not have to press <Reject> a thousand times. He'll only have to press <Reject All> once.

All enhancements in these releases were based on power-user feedback.
