Appropriate Technology Signs On to Sell ImpactXoft's IX SPeeD V5 Suite

ImpactXoft announced that Appropriate Technology, Inc, a distributor of CAD/CAM/CAE and PDM solutions, has joined the ImpactXoft Need SPeeD reseller program. Appropriate Technology will focus its sales efforts for the IX SPeeD V5 Suite in Ohio and Pennsylvania with a plan to target secondary and tertiary suppliers of the region's major automotive companies as well as those of CATIA-based companies specializing in plastics molding, machining, packaging and other disciplines.

Headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, Appropriate Technology offers a wide range of software solutions, training, support and contract engineering services to product development companies. The company has also gained recognition for bringing technology solutions into the engineering programs at a growing number of universities such as Youngstown University, Ohio State University, Kent State University and University of Pittsburgh. In its efforts to expand the user base of the IX SPeeD V5 Suite, Appropriate will leverage existing relationships and seek new ones to bring the IX SPeeD V5 Suite into university classrooms.

The IX SPeeD V5 Suite's Functional Modeling and collaborative design capabilities allow product developers to create designs that are easily understood and to apply and communicate design changes with others during the highly iterative work in progress phase. As the only design environment natively interoperable with Dassault Systèmes' PLM products, including CATIA V5, it is also an optimal solution for suppliers of CATIA-based manufacturing companies.

Today's partnership announcement is the latest since ImpactXoft's launch of their Need SPeeD reseller channel program in December. The program is open to qualified VARs that serve the major mechanical computer-aided design and collaborative solutions markets, including consumer goods and electronics manufacturers as well as automotive and aerospace suppliers. Those interested in more information or that wish to join the Need SPeeD program should contact ImpactXoft's channel sales organization at 408.360.7700 or visit the company web site at: http://www.impactxoft.com/NeedSPeeD
