CADD Edge Achieves Milestone by Selling 5,000 SolidWorks Seats

CADD Edge ( http://www.caddedge.com ) announced a milestone of selling 5,000 SolidWorks seats throughout New England, New York and New Jersey.

CADD Edge's 5000th seat was sold to Z Corporation in Burlington, MA. "Our engineers have used SolidWorks to design and develop our complete line of 3D Printers for more than four years. SolidWorks is a powerful and easy-to-use CAD software, useful in designing everything from the smallest piece part to full machine assemblies and manufacturing documentation," Walter Zengerle, Director of Engineering, Z Corporation.

Along with this landmark announcement CADD Edge is holding the annual Northeast SolidWorks Training and User Group meeting at Foxwoods Resort Casino on August 23rd and 24th 2004. With over 300 people at the event, including clients, SolidWorks Solution Partners, CADD Edge and SolidWorks staff, this two-day event includes detailed workshops and presentations offering a great resource for the new or seasoned SolidWorks user. Each year, it enables those using SolidWorks to hone their skills, pick up new techniques, network or even learn a new area of SolidWorks they generally don't get to use each day.

In addition, many solution partners associated with SolidWorks who help sponsor the event, are available for product demonstrations, including: Agile Software Corporation, Access Manufacturing Systems, Inc., Adaptive Technology Solutions, Inc., Blue Ridge Numerics, CoCreate, Immersive Design, Moldflow, RuleStream Corporation, Z Corporation, 3D Connexion, and ProSource, Inc.

Z Corporation develops, manufactures, and markets high-resolution 3D printers-machines that produce 3D physical prototypes of real-world objects with the speed, ease, and affordability of 2D desktop printing. Leading manufacturers, Fortune 500 companies, and centers for research, including Sony, Fisher-Price, Adidas, Canon, Daimler, Nike, NASA, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, BMW, Porsche, United Technologies, Ford, DaimlerChrysler, Harvard, MIT and Yale, rely on Z Corp.'s printers to produce prototypes as part of the development of a broad range of world-class products and technologies.
