French Automotive Products Design Consultant Adds More ICEM Surf Software to Support its Work for Renault
ICEM Ltd. announced that ESTECH, a French automotive vehicle products design consultancy, has recently signed an agreement with ICEM's French office for the supply and implementation of the latest version of the software, ICEM Surf 4.4.
The software will be used by ESTECH on new vehicle interior and exterior styling and design development projects for Renault's technical surfacing departments. In addition to providing advanced software tools for use in the creation, analysis and modification of complex, free-form surface models, ICEM Surf 4.4 will also provide ESTECH with the ability to develop the high quality, Class A surface model data required for Renault's manufacturing processes.
To help shorten vehicle body and interior design development time-scales, the software also provides ESTECH with advanced, real-time visualization capabilities to enable digital design review and design verification. In addition, the inclusion of ICEM's bi-directional, direct interface to the Catia engineering CAD/CAM system from IBM/Dassault Systemes will improve design work-flow by enabling the smooth transfer of model data between ICEM Surf and Catia.
Founded in 2001 and located in France, ESTECH currently employs around 30 engineers and designers, all with solid experience in automotive engineering and/or vehicle interior and exterior design. The company offers its clients access to all the skills required to manage the entire design development process, from initial design, through body design, design visualization and Class A surfaces development, to training.
