Linde AG Selects MatrixOne's Matrix 10 PLM Platform to Enable Cross-Enterprise Collaboration and to Optimise Product Data Management and Innovation Cycles

MatrixOne, Inc. announced that global equipment manufacturer Linde AG has selected MatrixOne's Matrix10T PLM environment as the foundation for the Company's collaborative engineering efforts in its Materials Handling business segment. The Matrix10 deployment will enable Linde to reach its strategic objectives in the area of product management. Linde is a worldwide leading provider of forklift truck and warehouse equipment and services.

The Matrix10 implementation encompassing approximately 1,200 desktops will allow Linde to improve product quality while simultaneously reducing production costs and accelerating time to market. By driving standardization across key business processes, the PLM platform will accelerate and improve product innovation cycles. The combination of the Matrix10 platform and the MatrixOne Engineering CentralT application will serve as the foundation of Linde's collaborative engineering efforts across its global workforce. For the first time, Linde will integrate its internal and external partners, as well as all product data and project management information, which will lead to standardized and effective development processes and structures.

"MatrixOne was chosen as the foundation of our collaborative engineering efforts because of the high flexibility inherent in the system. It enables us to connect all suppliers of our business segment to our engineering team," said Andre Schlotz, PLM project manager for Linde. "As economic pressures continue to impact our product costs, Linde will need to continually look for an advantage to reduce product development costs while increasing product quality and time to market. In Matrix10, MatrixOne has delivered the collaborative environment needed for us to achieve these goals."

"Linde is a positive example of an innovative manufacturer that sees the strategic value that can be delivered by PLM to reduce product development costs, time to market and competitive advantage by changing its business processes to provide a collaborative development environment that brings together all people involved in the development process, from engineers through suppliers," said Chris Nicolaes, Director Central Europe at MatrixOne. "By utilizing MatrixOne's PLM solutions, Linde will be able to provide cross-development group and company-wide collaboration across the global enterprise, improving product innovation and development by streamlining traditional business processes."
