Delcam Strengthens Asian Business Development Team
Delcam announced the strengthening of its Asian Business Development Team with the appointment of Chai Kok Hoe as Business Development Manager for the ASEAN countries. Chai gained his first experience of Delcam's software while studying for his engineering degree at Birmingham Polytechnic close to the company's UK headquarters. On graduating, he worked within Delcam's Training Department in the UK, before returning to Malaysia to take up a position as an Applications Engineer within the local subsidiary. Chai was promoted to Technical Manager at Delcam Malaysia in 1995, and to Managing Director in 2000.
Commenting on the appointment, Asian Business Development Director Tim Mitchell said, "Delcam is expanding its operations in Asia at a rapid pace to keep up with the growing demand in the region. In recent months, for example, we have invested a significant amount in a new joint venture in Thailand, expanded our distribution network in China, and opened additional offices in India."
"Adding Chai to our management team will help us to continue this growth. His experience, both technical and commercial, in successfully running Delcam Malaysia will be of value to all our customers and Sales Partners in the region."
