Immersive Design's IPA v8.0 Receives Autodesk Inventor® 9 Certification

Immersive Design, Inc. ( http://www.immdesign.com/ ) announced that its flagship product, IPA v8.0, has received certification for Autodesk Inventor® 9 under the Autodesk Inventor Certified Application Program. Certified applications are designed to meet strict development guidelines and have undergone a rigorous series of tests to ensure the highest level of interoperability with Autodesk Inventor software. Certification is granted only after a product has been thoroughly tested by internal staff at Autodesk.

"IPA v8.0's release and certification for Inventor 9 is another example of how Autodesk and Immersive Design are delivering on Autodesk's strategy to help customers create and share their digital design data and solve critical business challenges," said Richard Runnells, senior manager, Partner Programs of Autodesk's Manufacturing Solutions Division. "Our manufacturing customers not only design faster with Inventor 9 but by using IPA have the ability to leverage their Inventor designs outside of engineering for the next generation of 3D interactive assembly, service and maintenance documentation."

"The powerful combination of IPA and Inventor can help manufacturing companies get to market faster and reduce errors through the re-use of their design data to generate product and process documentation in less time and with fewer errors," said Gregory Smith, CEO of Immersive Design. "Just as Autodesk Inventor enables manufacturing companies to migrate their engineering departments from 2D to 3D, Immersive Design's IPA enables technical publications in these companies to move into an interactive 3D world."
