Journey Publishing Teams With PTC to Offer Pro/ENGINEER® WildfireT 2.0 Student Edition
Journey Publishing, Inc. announced the availability of PTC Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 2.0 Student Edition. Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 2.0 is a 3D product design solution that helps companies develop detailed, intuitive and realistic digital product representations.
PTC provides Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire and other PTC software applications to institutions for educational use through its University Plus program. Journey markets and supports student editions that allow students to use professional software solutions for educational purposes. The student edition is available for personal or educational use. This program directly supports feedback that PTC has received from leading manufacturers that are looking for engineers with a first-rate understanding of how to use professional product design technology. Students at 46 of the top 52 U.S. engineering colleges, as ranked by U.S. News and World Report, are using Pro/ENGINEER in the classroom. Additionally, professors at more than 1,250 universities around the world employ Pro/ENGINEER for instruction in their engineering courses.

Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 2.0 Student Edition includes interactive surface design, advanced assembly, Behavioral Modeling®, mechanism design, design animation and simulation (MECHANICA structure and thermal), and Peer-to-Peer Collaboration, powered by Groove Networks technology. New to this release is the 3-D Drawing Capability.
Pricing and Availability
Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 2.0 Student Edition is priced at US $199.98 for academic use and $299.98 for personal use. A $25.00 rebate is available through September 30, 2004. Upgrades are also available through September 30, 2004. Student Editions are available in the United States, Canada, Europe, Mexico, Australia and New Zealand and Japan.
