Pathtrace Announces Support for SolidWorks 2005
Pathtrace announced that its latest version of EdgeCAM computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software - to be released in September 2004-supports SolidWorks® 2005 3D mechanical design software.
EdgeCAM Solid Machinist, in combination with SolidWorks 2005, provides a complete CAD/CAM solution. Customers benefit from seamless integration between the two products. With EdgeCAM Solid Machinist, the SolidWorks user is able to import files directly into EdgeCAM without data translation, enabling faster NC programming. The associative link between EdgeCAM Solid Machinist and SolidWorks reduces the burden of reworking NC programs, meaning that even late changes to the SolidWorks model will not affect manufacturing lead times.
