Stelar Hires Senior EDA Sales and Marketing Executive

Stelar Tools, Inc., a Portland, Ore.-based electronic design automation (EDA) start-up, announced the addition of Robert Grossman as executive vice president of sales and marketing. This key appointment will help Stelar reach its target customer base of electronic product companies with its soon-to-be-announced flagship HDL design product.

"Robert has taken several EDA start-ups from zero to over $10 million revenue in very short periods of time," said Joe Tanous, CEO, Stelar Tools. "We look forward to leveraging his vast network of contacts at prospective customers to drive sales. Robert is a great addition to the Stelar team."

Grossman comes to Stelar from Novas Software where, as a sales director for EDA debug tools, he closed some of Novas' largest orders. He has over 25 years of sales and marketing experience with various EDA companies, including Tharas Systems, Vast Systems, and Mentor Graphics. Grossman has had a very successful career building start-up companies, taking them from early-stage to acquisition and/or IPO. He holds a B.E. from The Cooper Union University, and an M.S. in Electronics Engineering from the University of Massachusetts.

Founded in 2003, Stelar Tools, Inc. is a privately held company that delivers the first true graphical and textual design environment for large, complex HDL designs, enabling designers to explore, navigate, analyze, document and create a design within their current design methodology and tools.
