CFdesign v7 is Autodesk Inventor 9 Certified
Blue Ridge Numerics Inc. announced that its latest release of CFdesign, has received certification for Autodesk Inventor® 9 under the Autodesk Inventor Certified Applications Program. Certification is granted to applications that meet standards set by Autodesk to ensure quality, robustness and the highest level of interoperability with Autodesk Inventor 3D mechanical design software.
CFdesign v7.0 focuses on rapid product optimization with new capabilities to enable mainstream product development engineers working on tight deadlines. The speed in which CFdesign uses highly complex Autodesk Inventor 3D assemblies to analyze and qualitatively compare design variations sets CFdesign apart from traditional CFD applications. On average, implementing CFdesign can reduce the time it takes to develop, test, and prove a new product design by 70% while reducing the costs associated with staff time and materials by 65%.
Changes made to a component or assembly within Autodesk Inventor software are automatically reflected in CFdesign, eliminating the task of creating and managing multiple geometry models during a project lifecycle. With CFdesign v7.0 there is always only one model and it is updated and managed within the Autodesk Inventor 9 environment.
Industries currently using CFdesign include aerospace, automotive, electronics, filtration, household products, HVAC systems, industrial flow control and valves, medical, military, plumbing, processing (food, chemical and materials), and power generation.
BAE Systems, Bioject, Bristol Compressors, Carlo Gavazzi, Cummins Engine, Dade Behring, Delta Faucet, EDO, Honda, Ingersoll-Rand, KLA-Tencor, Moen, NASA-JPL, Norgren, Northrop Grumman, Philips Medical, Respironics, Siemens, Symbol Technologies, and USFilter are just a few of the companies using CFdesign to help bring better products to market faster.
