UGS Announces NX 3 North American Seminar Series

UGS announced two North American seminar series commencing September 15, 2004. The first series, conducted in cooperation with HP and Intel Corporation, will show how transforming the digital product development process, with a focus on Lean Design and Design for Six Sigma business initiatives, can yield improved quality and reduced waste. The second series will demonstrate the latest enhancements and new capabilities in NX 3, the company's digital product development software solution.

"NX will help establish the link between corporate strategy and new product development," said David Primrose, vice president of marketing, PLM Products, UGS. "Companies focused on Lean Design and Design for Six Sigma process initiatives will find fresh ideas for evaluating new product ideas based on strict quality and cost criteria. Sessions will provide information on how companies can optimize their digital product development process to enable dramatic reductions in time to market as well as improvements in gross margin and quality."

Agenda for Digital Product Development Series

•  UGS, along with infrastructure and technology experts from HP and Intel, will discuss ways to eliminate waste, reduce costs and use technology to support innovation in digital product development.
•  Industry analyst Donald H. Brown, managing partner at CPD Associates, LLC, will address where lean design and design for Six Sigma initiatives can help transform product development processes.
•  American Challenge Inc. will share its success using high technology to create the most powerful, most revolutionary vehicle ever to attack the world water speed record.

Sessions will be held in over 20 locations throughout North America, from September 15 through October 19. Register at http://www.ugs.com/nx3 or by phone to 1/800-498-5351.
