Intergraph Process, Power & Marine Offers SmartPlant 3D and SmartPlant P&ID Incentive Package
The Process, Power & Marine division of Intergraph Corporation is offering special incentive pricing on the SmartPlant Design Solution, a pre-integrated configuration of SmartPlant® 3D and SmartPlant P&ID. The SmartPlant Design Solution integrates the 3D model and intelligent P&ID with change notification and workflows for Web review and redlining of drawings and engineering information. The combination helps ensure design consistency, quality and accuracy by enforcing engineering rules to reduce errors, changes, checks and costly rework. The solution is integrated through SmartPlant Foundation, which houses The Engineering Framework (TEF) integration architecture.
For a limited time, each SmartPlant P&ID license purchased along with a SmartPlant 3D license is discounted by 50 percent and the SmartPlant Foundation server license is included at no charge. Predefined TEF application adapters are also included. A separate SmartPlant Design Solution services package includes installation, consulting and training. Intergraph is demonstrating the SmartPlant Design Solution at the APEX Summit international conference, which continues through Wednesday at The Woodlands Resort & Conference Center.
The SmartPlant 3D ( http://ppm.intergraph.com/smartplant/sp_3d.asp ) general commercial release offered in the SmartPlant Design Solution includes improvements to TEF integration, structural modeling and analysis, PDS® model translation, global worksharing, drawings and reporting functionality and content, MicroStation export and expanded reference data. The latest capabilities of SmartPlant 3D make the software a production-ready, highly-advanced, multidiscipline 3D modeling environment. Improvements to 2D-to-3D data correlation and topology checking provided through TEF allow more accurate and consistent design. Structural improvements, such as additional modeling and editing commands for steel, as well as concrete slabs and foundations, provide expanded design capabilities. Improved integration provides an interface to any CIS/2-compliant structural analysis package and supports migration of Intergraph FrameWorks® Plus models to SmartPlant 3D. Workshare improvements enable merging of duplicated plants into one database location to consolidate final designs in a central repository. Administrators can also change ownership of data from one location to another. In addition, Microsoft Windows Server 2003 compatibility allows companies to benefit from Microsoft technology advances.
SmartPlant P&ID ( http://ppm.intergraph.com/smartplant/sp_pid.asp ) is knowledge base-driven engineering software for creating intelligent piping and instrumentation diagrams. Engineering firms as well as plant owners can model plant asset configurations to accurately reflect the plant process. SmartPlant P&ID is integrated with up-and downstream engineering tasks such as process design and instrumentation. Integration with other engineering tools, such as those for pipe line or valve sizing and HAZOP analysis, significantly increases the lifecycle value of the P&ID. On a global worksharing basis, engineers can create P&IDs and reports directly from the database without an expensive CAD engine or complex reporting software. SmartPlant P&ID enables high quality design and opportunity to improve work processes to answer crucial business needs such as cost and risk reduction, greater ROI on engineering IT and O&M support.
SmartPlant Foundation ( http://ppm.intergraph.com/infomgmt/sp_foundation.asp ) manages the availability, integrity and accuracy of engineering information. It builds an electronic library about a plant and its configuration, including structure, tags, assets and documents. It encompasses a plant's initial design and ongoing operating upgrades and modifications, defining and driving electronic work processes, tracking changes and managing engineering revisions. SmartPlant Foundation enables true concurrent engineering and the creation of the plant information asset for strategic business advantage.
The Engineering Framework is enterprise-wide engineering integration technology, provided exclusively with SmartPlant Foundation.
