Terex Corp. Chooses IFS Business Software to Support Truck Manufacturing Operations
IFS announced that Terex Corp. has signed a contract to implement IFS ApplicationsT business software at its Ft. Wayne, Indiana, facility, which jointly houses the manufacturing operations of Terex Advance Mixer, Inc., and American Truck Co. (ATC). Advance Mixer, a Terex subsidiary, produces front- and rear-discharging concrete mixer trucks. ATC, a joint venture of which Terex is a two-thirds owner, produces military trucks.
Both Advance Mixer and ATC will use IFS' full suite of enterprise applications, including manufacturing, distribution, financials, service management, and engineering.
"We are a rapidly growing company. In July, we celebrated the shipment of our ten-thousandth truck," said Dale Jones, Vice President and General Manager of Advance Mixer, Inc. "IFS Applications will help us keep up with growth by giving us improved control over labor and inventory costs. One of the reasons we selected IFS is that IFS Applications has the capability to handle mixed- mode production environments such as ours."
Existing IFS customers in the industrial manufacturing industry include Deere & Co., Dresser-Rand, Gehl, Star Cutter, Remmele Engineering, and Johnson Pump.
