SofTech's ProductCenter PLM Certified For SolidWorks 2005
SofTech ( http://www.softech.com/ ) announced that its ProductCenterT PLM (product lifecycle management) solution has been awarded SolidWorks Corporation's highest honor of Gold Product Certification for use with SolidWorks® 2005. Certification ensures SolidWorks users the highest level of interoperability between SolidWorks releases and complementary solutions such as ProductCenter. SofTech has been a SolidWorks Gold Product Partner for over five years, offering certified ProductCenter Integrators that embed product data and lifecycle management directly within SolidWorks as a seamless part of the design process.
ProductCenter supports a mixed-CAD environment, including SolidWorks and most other popular 2D and 3D design applications, in addition to office tools and desktop publishing applications. It associates and provides centralized access to all the various items of product information developed during the product lifecycle from concept to retirement. As a result, ProductCenter encourages collaborative efforts and much greater reuse of this valuable intellectual property, while automating product processes, such as ECO/ECN approvals and version/release control.
