CADCAM-E Engineering Group Receives ISO 9000 Certification
CADCAM-E announced that the company has attained ISO-9000 certification for its engineering design and consulting services group, based in Chennai, INDIA. Certification was effective August 12, 2004.
Certification has become a prerequisite for doing business in the North American automotive and manufacturing industries. The certification process involved an extensive audit of the company's quality management system by DNV Certification, a division of Det Norske Veritas (DNV), a third party auditing firm.
ISO 9000 certification provides CADCAM-E's customers with an independent and objective assessment of the Company's quality management processes in four key areas. According to Kumar Rajan, CEO certification also will save customers considerable time and expense by eliminating the need for costly second-party audits. To maintain its certification status, CADCAM-E will undergo ISO audits every six months.
