Spicer Releases New Imagenation® Integration to Hummingbird DM

Spicer Corporation announced a new release of Imagenation for Hummingbird DM.

The integration of Imagenation with Hummingbird provides end users with a single, consistent graphical view/edit solution for hundreds of file formats, including CAD drawings, plot files, office documents, and large-format scanned images. Documents can be launched directly from the DM Extension interface, the fat client of DOCSFusion.

"Increased compliance regulations require DM users to share information with many outside sources," comments Tony Prilesnik, Imagenation Product Manager. "Our new redaction layers, as implemented with Hummingbird DM, protect sensitive and confidential data while still allowing users to freely share documents."

The new Imagenation for Hummingbird DM integration is built on Imagenation Release 7.4 and integrates with DOCSFusion 5.1.0.5 and Hummingbird DM Extension 5.1.0.5 v2.2.

New features in this release include:

•  Redaction layers: Opaque boxes can be added on top of the base document to protect certain areas of the base document from unauthorized viewing.

•  Documents and e-mail attachments: Local documents and documents sent as e-mail attachments can be opened in the SpicerPowerView application and checked in the repository, along with their markups and resolved external references.

•  Resolving external references: External references previously attached to the base document by DM or the AutoCAD Extension are resolved for AutoCAD 2004 and 2005.

Imagenation is the flagship product in the Spicer suite of Universal Viewing Solutions. Over half a million users, from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies, use Imagenation every day to scan, clean up, convert, view, mark up, and print documents.
