Kubotek USA Names James Gordon Principal Engineer
Kubotek USA announced the appointment of James Gordon as principal engineer. Gordon was formerly vice president and chief architect of ACIS, Spatial Corporation's popular three dimensional (3D) modeling development technology. In this capacity, Gordon exercised both technical expertise and a keen business sense in researching industry trends and prototyping new modeling features.
Gordon will draw on nearly 20 years of experience in CAD/CAM software development as he joins the Kubotek KeyCreator (formerly CADKEY) geometric modeling team. This includes eight years at Spatial in a wide range of roles, from chief architect to vice president of Development, and eight years at Unigraphics Solutions. His goals at Kubotek are focused on furthering technical innovation, and on supporting the company's goal of becoming the leading design and manufacturing software solution provider.
KeyCreator builds on the heritage of CADKEY. KeyCreator combines both the latest in geometry-based design and modeling technology, and a legacy of success in helping customers in the design of tooling, complex machinery, fixtures, molds, dies and a multitude of product development industries including automotive, aerospace, heavy equipment, sports equipment, medical device and many more.
The KeyCreator creation engineering product line includes multidimensional design and drafting, NC programming and reverse-engineering capabilities. The expanding product line features the company's geometry-based foundation with localized feature editing and sophisticated deformation techniques.
