CNC Software to Release Mastercam Art CAD/CAM Software

Mastercam brings its power and experience to artistic relief design and cutting with Mastercam Art. Mastercam Art allows you to bring 2D sketches, clip art, photos, and CAD files to life by crafting them on-screen and cutting them with easy, specialized toolpaths. What would have taken a signmaker or other artisan weeks to do can now be done in minutes.

Mastercam Art eliminates many of the typical problems of creating machinable artwork. Input ranging from a scanned pencil drawing to a fully developed CAD model, can be quickly "sculpted" on-screen in 3D until it looks the way you want it. A suite of software tools allows for easy and quick changes, or reverting to a previous design. Once you have modeled your project, Mastercam Art has a wide variety of fast cutting techniques to ensure the part comes off the machine exactly as imagined.

Organic Artwork in 5 Easy Steps:

Step 1: Import Art - Bring in clip art, a CAD file, or a scanned drawing or photograph. Mastercam Art converts the artwork into flat, machinable geometry, giving you a basic palette from which to craft your finished model. Mastercam Art also has a Classic Art Library of over 5,000 artistic elements to easily place in your model.

Step 2: Build a 3D Model - Create a full 3D sculpture from 2D artwork by picking elements of your flat art. Mastercam "puffs up" the art using a cross-section you control. Easily modify the model by eye until it is exactly the way you want.

Step 3: Create a Toolpath - Pick one of Mastercam Art's specialized toolpaths to cut your project. These strategies are easily modified, so you can try out a variety of cutting techniques to get that perfect result.

Step 4: Machine it On-Screen - Using Mastercam's solid-model verification, you can see an on-screen simulation of your part before you put stock on the machine.

Step 5: Output Code to Your Machine - Quickly create Gcode for your machine using Mastercam's extensive post processor library.
