WHO : Carbon Design Systems is a fast moving EDA company that reduces the time-to-profit for chip and systems companies by enabling pre-silicon software validation much earlier in the design cycle when compared to traditional methods.
WHAT : Carbon's SPEEDCompilerT creates high-performance, register-and-cycle accurate models--called DesignPlayersT-from the Verilog or VHDL actually used to implement a system. These models have the precision, accuracy, and performance required to perform true system validation--software running on a model of the actual hardware implementation.
