IRISCO Elmo BoM 2005 Provides Fast And Easy-To-Use Link Between CAD And MRP/ERP Systems
IRISCO announced the immediate availability of the latest release of its Elmo BoM software. While the original Elmo solution was designed specifically to allow easy exporting of CAD metadata from Autodesk Inventor, the new version boasts DWG and DXF support as well. This software solution is also certified by Autodesk for Inventor 9, ships in two languages (English and French)., and is available as a trial version for download directly from the Elmo Website at http://en.irisco.com/solutions/?productid=54#description .
Elmo BoM 2005 not only addresses the needs of Autodesk users, but also those of all their colleagues, particularly those who work along the production process. Elmo BoM 2005 allows extracting and exporting, in just one single operation, of the exact composition of all the Inventor assemblies, subassemblies and parts, and all of the properties ("iProperties") of each part, including custom, user-defined properties. It can also harvest all of the blocks, with and without attributes, found in DWG documents, as well as AutoCAD Mechanical and Mechanical Desktop Bills of Materials. Prior creation of Parts Lists or BoMs is not required to obtain the BoM (Bills Of Materials), which takes the form of a single XML or Tab-delimited file which can then be imported or attached in third-party applications (such as Excel, Access, etc.), or directly brought into a MRP/ERP system. One can thus be assured of perfect synchronization between shared data such as engineering, production, costing, etc.. The IRISCO R+D team developed Elmo to make data available in a timely fashion throughout the entire Product Lifecycle.
