AWR's Analog Office High-Frequency Design Suite Selected by BOE HYDIS
Applied Wave Research, Inc. (AWR and Euan Information Technology (EIT), an AWR value-added reseller in Korea, announced a corporate agreement with BOE HYDIS Technology Co., Ltd. that will significantly enhance BOE's commitment to the use of AWR's Analog OfficeT 2004 design suite in the company's design process. BOE's Advance Technology Development Group Development division plans to utilize the Analog Office software for the design and simulation of thin film transistor (TFT) liquid crystal display (LCD) panels.
The companies will work together to further integrate AWR's software into the existing design flow in the current stage and deploy the AWR design environment widely into their complete design process in the near future. This includes a leading-edge design methodology for fringe-field switching technology (FFS), which was first patented by BOE HYDIS in 1996.
BOE, headquartered outside of Seoul, South Korea, is a technology leader in the design and manufacture of TFT LCD circuit products. With the acquisition of Hynix Semiconductor's display business in 2003, the company has commercialized a number of TFT LCD panels including: laptop computers, tablet PCs, avionic applications, medical applications, car navigation systems, and TVs.

"We look forward, in the near future, to expanding the AWR design environment into our entire design process."

The Analog Office solution is the first complete integrated circuit (IC) design system in over a decade that is specifically architected and optimized from the ground up for analog and radio-frequency (RF) IC designs. The toolset spans the entire IC design flow, from system-level to circuit-level design and verification, for complete top-to-bottom and front-to-back analog and RFIC design.
