Primavera Launches New Synchronization Software for Contractors and Subcontractors
Primavera Systems, Inc. announced the release of Primavera® Contractor-the only single-project planning and scheduling software solution built specifically for the construction industry.
Primavera Contractor makes it possible for the entire project team-from general contractor through subcontractors-to work together on a single, consolidated master schedule by providing timely status updates and change notification. Productivity is increased through better coordination and synchronization between contractors and subcontractors, and through improved scheduling of crews, material deliveries and equipment availability.

Improved Scheduling and Communication
With built-in project templates, views and graphics, Primavera Contractor makes scheduling and communication of project status quick, easy and available in a standard format. Subcontractors can communicate a "start-to-finish" view of activities and resources using critical path functionality and true work breakdown structure graphics. Embedded Claim DiggerT technology lets contractors view the changes subcontractors make to a schedule over the project's lifetime to identify schedule or cost padding that may push a project over budget.
Fast, Professional Reporting
Contractors and subcontractors can shorten the time it takes to prepare reports by using the more than 75 construction-specific report templates or Report Wizard included in Primavera Contractor. Fully customizable Gantt charts and PERT diagrams with trace logic provide professional-looking graphics for faster reporting of project status.
Easy Schedule Exchange
With Primavera Contractor, the general contractor can easily collect schedules created by subcontractors in Primavera or Microsoft® Project. Subcontractors can e-mail entire updated project schedules to the general contractor, who, in turn, can simply use the Import/Export Wizard to incorporate them into the master schedule.
Accurate Forecasting
Primavera Contractor provides easy-to-understand views of cost and resource relationships for the most accurate forecasting possible. With accurate forecast data, contractors and the home office can quickly see how cost or resource allocations will affect the overall budget and project delivery.
