GibbsCAM Certified by Autodesk for Inventor 9

Gibbs and Associates , developer of GibbsCAM®, computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software for programming computer numerically controlled (CNC) machinery and controls, announced that as of September 7th GibbsCAM has been certified for Autodesk Inventor® 9 under the Autodesk Inventor Certified Applications Program. Certified applications are designed to meet certain implementation guidelines and have demonstrated the highest levels of quality and interoperability with Autodesk Inventor. Certification is granted only after a product has been thoroughly tested by internal staff at Autodesk.

"We are extremely pleased to once again be certified under the Autodesk Inventor Certified Applications Program. This clearly demonstrates the two companies' joint dedication to providing effective solutions for our customers," says Bill Gibbs, founder and president of Gibbs and Associates. "GibbsCAM's powerful, yet easy to use, capabilities can take Autodesk Inventor designs and put them into production quickly and easily. The Autodesk Inventor/GibbsCAM combination continues to offer Autodesk Inventor users incredible value and performance."

GibbsCAM is able to directly read in native Autodesk Inventor model files for process planning and toolpath generation. The Inventor-to-GibbsCAM add-in also allows Autodesk Inventor models to be directly transferred from within Autodesk Inventor to GibbsCAM. GibbsCAM's ease-of-use allows users to quickly take advantage of its powerful capabilities - from minimizing how long it takes to learn how to use the software, to efficiently addressing day-to-day manufacturing engineering tasks with extremely intuitive capabilities.

The current GibbsCAM product line supports 2- through 5-axis milling, turning, mill/turning, multi-task simultaneous machining and wire-EDM. GibbsCAM also provides fully integrated manufacturing modeling capabilities that include 2D, 2.5D, 3D wireframe, surface, and solid modeling. GibbsCAM's data exchange capabilities are able to access the broadest range of native and industry standard CAD data formats.
