Vero Signs Distribution Agreement with HZS
Vero Japan kk, the Tokyo based subsidiary of VI Group plc one of the leading suppliers of CAD/CAM software to the mould and die sector, announced that it has entered into a collaborative distribution agreement with Hitachi Zosen Information Systems Co., Ltd ("HZS") for its Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) products.
HZS will license software from Vero for use in Japan, China and the Pacific Rim area. HZS is the largest independent provider of CAM systems in Japan and third largest in the world according to US based independent analyst CIMdata.
Under the terms of the agreement Vero will provide CAM software products including, its shop floor machining STRATEGIST product to HZS for them to license to their customers and dealers throughout the region. The agreement runs for a minimum of three years and provides for guaranteed payments to Vero throughout this collaborative effort.
Vero and HZS will be exhibiting their products together at the forthcoming JIMTOF machine tool exhibition in Tokyo from the 1st November until the 8th November.
Commenting on the announcement, Don Babbs, Chief Executive of VI, said: "We are delighted that HZS have chosen our software to provide to their customer base and dealers in this rapidly expanding region. The speed, functionality and orientation towards high speed toolpaths of our CAM solutions provided important opportunities for HZS. This emphatic endorsement for our CAM products from such a powerful and long standing force in the Japanese CAD/CAM market will provide new impetus to our efforts in the region."
Vero International Software develops and distributes the VISI-Series and machining STRATEGIST software solutions for mould and die design and manufacture. It has offices in UK, Italy, France, USA, Canada and Japan as well as resellers in over 40 countries worldwide.
HZS is a Japanese company supplying CATIA from Dassault Systemes, machining STRATEGIST from Vero International and their own Space-E products to the mould and die sector. Established in 1977 HZS has sales and marketing offices throughout Japan, China and Thailand. HZS also develops its own Space-E software at centers in Japan, China and Europe.
