SAP America, Inc. Names Thomas Wright Industry Principal, Automotive
SAP America, the U.S. subsidiary of SAP AG, announced the appointment of Thomas Wright as industry principal, Automotive. Effective immediately, Wright will assume responsibility for planning and execution of SAP's strategy for support of the North American automotive industry. Based in Southfield, Michigan, Wright will report directly to Martin Mrugal, vice president of Discrete Manufacturing Industry Solutions, SAP America, Inc.
Wright brings more than 20 years of automotive industry and technology experience to SAP. For the last five years he has worked with customer service and dealer collaboration applications at enterprise automotive and automotive finance customers around the world. Wright also held important roles at companies such as Thru-Put Technologies, where he focused on the automotive production scheduling and project optimization, and at QAD Inc. and ASK Computer Systems, providing ERP solutions to midmarket component suppliers.
Wright received an undergraduate degree from Rutgers University and an MBA from the University of Michigan.
