Primavera Helps Corporations Prioritize Resources and Projects to Meet Strategic Objectives

Primavera Systems, Inc. announced the availability of its latest release of Primavera® Operations Management. The new solution provides an effective way to manage work through its abilities to match resources to projects, establish resource project priorities with business units and evaluate the impact of scope changes on delivery and cost.

"Before Primavera, we didn't have an objective, streamlined way to make decisions about how to prioritize our resources and projects. We also didn't have proper resource utilization on our projects and were not able to capture our true costs of development. By establishing more business management and financial rigor behind our development processes, we have a much clearer picture of our costs, which gives us the ability to make smarter decisions," said Chris Heffernan, from AT&T Wireless. "Using Primavera, everyone benefits because resource and project information is managed efficiently and, through customized reporting and dashboards, we have the ability to give our executive team roll-up information on many levels. The process is so straightforward that it is changing the way we initially fund new projects."

"Every organization is faced with more work to do than it has the time and resources to do it all," stated Joel M. Koppelman, Primavera CEO. "Primavera enables our customers to prioritize their projects while controlling spending and imposing a governance framework for efficient decision making. In the process, they improve their record of delivering projects on time and increase credibility with their customers."

The release's other significant features include:

•  Improved dashboards for business leaders and team members that enhance the quality of communication

•  Capacity planning to assess resource needs against business demand

•  Expanded team collaboration capabilities, including document management, threaded discussions, and issues and risk management
