Ledcor Industrial Implementing Intergraph Process, Power & Marine MARIAN Materials, Procurement and Supply Chain Management System
Ledcor Industrial Limited, a Canadian procurement and construction firm, has signed a contract to purchase MARIAN® materials, procurement and supply chain management software and services, the Process, Power & Marine division of Intergraph Corporation announced. In this large-scale MARIAN implementation, Ledcor is applying MARIAN in a two-phase program starting in its fabrication and procurement departments. The second phase includes use on Ledcor's contract for the Long Lake project in Western Canada - a joint venture between Nexen and Opti Canada Inc. Beginning with implementation for site construction in early 2005, MARIAN will also be the Ledcor corporate materials management standard and used on all subsequent projects. The Ledcor transaction is one of several recent MARIAN sales throughout Canada.
Material Control Program Specialist Sonny Kortzman, Ledcor, said, "Intergraph MARIAN helps answer Ledcor's business need for project controls to better meet contract requirements for efficiently managing materials for plant construction. Ledcor compared MARIAN to competitive products and service options both locally and from around the world. In our analysis, MARIAN offered the best value in features and functions and Intergraph offered global implementation experience and corporate stability."
