Boeing Australia Expands XyEnterprise XML Content Management and Publishing Solution

XyEnterprise announced that Boeing Australia has expanded its use of the XyEnterprise Content@ content manager application for the structured content required to support a wide variety of Boeing military aircraft and systems. The solution, in production for several years, provides content management and publishing services for Airline Transport Association (ATA) and Continuous Acquisition and Lifecycle Support (CALS) standards content, workflow for content creation and delivery, and content re-use in support of complex products.

Boeing Australia Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, is a high-technology aerospace enterprise specialising in design, installation and support of key defence and commercial systems, as well as the development and application of complex systems support and communications solutions for defence and commercial markets. Boeing Australia uses the XyEnterprise applications to complement its broad range of engineering and support services with real-time, mission-critical content creation and delivery.

Mr. Steven Grant, Boeing Australia Technical Data Services Manager, commented on the expansion of the system: "Our ability to support a wide range of Boeing products for our customers requires content management and document production capability, as is provided by the XyEnterprise Content@ and XPP products. Not only have their products had a positive impact on our ability to meet these requirements, but their professional support and partnership has enhanced our support environment."

Richard Pasewark, VP Sales and Marketing, XyEnterprise, commented: "We are pleased to support Boeing in their mission to deliver and maintain their wide range of aircraft. The expansion of their system is consistent with other leading companies who have engaged XyEnterprise to meet their needs in both military and commercial XML applications."
