Agile Customer Allied Telesyn to Present at ProcureCon 2004
WHO : Scott Clark, vice president, global procurement and operations at Allied Telesyn, a global leader in networking and communications solutions, will present at ProcureCon 2004.
WHAT : ProcureCon 2004 gathers together speakers and delegates from across industries that focus on strategic sourcing. Attendees will hear discussions on topics such as growing revenue and increasing sourcing effectiveness; capitalizing on emerging market opportunities; developing optimal business continuity planning strategies; optimizing commodity spend; establishing effective supplier relationships; implementing world-class lean initiatives and integrating new strategic sourcing technologies.
TOPIC : Clark's presentation, titled "PLM Sourcing: The Journey to Product Profitability begins in Design," will educate attendees on extending the Supply-Chain Operations- Reference-model (SCOR) to diagnose supply chain inefficiencies in product design and development processes; justifying a PLM solution to integrate global design, source and manufacturing operations; driving cross-functional process re-engineering and operational excellence initiatives; and addressing product profitability before the NPI prototype phase and throughout the product lifecycle.
