Delcam China Moves to Larger Offices in Beijing
Delcam's Chinese subsidiary Delcam China has moved its headquarters to new, larger offices in Beijing. This move has been prompted by a further acceleration in sales of the company's Power Solution product development software in the country during 2004. "We needed more space to accommodate extra staff, both to meet the growing demand for our software and to provide the best possible support for our increasing number of customers," explained Tim Mitchell, Delcam's Asian Business Development Director. "The new offices will give us the facilities to meet both these objectives."
The Beijing office coordinates all Delcam's sales, support and marketing activities within China. It is also directly responsible for the sales offices in Shanghai, Xi'an and Chengdu.
For customers in the South of China, the Beijing office works closely with Delcam's technical center in Guangzhou and with Delcam (Hong Kong) Ltd., a Joint Venture company set up in association with Forida, Delcam's long-standing local representative in the territory.
Delcam China also supports two resellers in the country. Delcam Chang Chun covers North-East China, where it works closely with its main customer First Auto Works. Beijing Deluxe Science & Technology Co., Ltd., the newest addition to the Delcam network, is responsible for the Northern part of China. Even though it was only founded earlier this year, Beijing Deluxe has already made a number of significant sales.
"There has been some talk of a slowing in growth within the Chinese economy but we are seeing little evidence of this," added Mr. Mitchell. "In contrast, we are meeting more and more companies that want to use an investment in our software to increase productivity and quality, especially within the automotive, footwear and toy manufacturing industries."
