Proficiency Appoints Marc Dulude Chairman of the Board
Proficiency announced the appointment of Marc Dulude, general partner of Ampersand Ventures, as chairman of the board. Shlomo Dovrat, Proficiency's former chairman and a general partner and founder of Carmel Ventures, will continue to serve on the board as a director.
Dulude, who will immediately assume the role of chairman stated, "Proficiency's solutions are truly unique and competitive products that are ready for the next phase of market penetration. The Company has a strong list of enviable customers at world leading companies, and I firmly believe the Proficiency Collaboration GatewayT will have a significant impact on the design and manufacture of the future's most important products. We'd like to thank Shlomo for his extensive contributions so far and are confident he will continue to actively support the company."
Dulude has been a member of Proficiency's board since April 2004. He is currently a general partner at Ampersand Ventures, a private equity firm. Formerly president and CEO of Moldflow Corporation Dulude brings more than 11 years of experience as a senior information technology executive to Proficiency, including serving as senior vice president of marketing at Parametric Technology Corporation (now PTC) and in various positions at Nortel Networks. Dulude also serves as chairman of firstRain, Inc. He holds a bachelor's and a master's degree in mechanical engineering from Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada.
