Eight New Theorem Translators Keep Pace with CATIA V5's Development
Eight new bi-directional translators from Theorem Solutions, which will coincide with the availability and deployment of the latest release of CATIA V5, underline how the company has dovetailed its development program with Dassault Systemes' own CATIA V5 translation strategy.
The data exchange specialist's close working relationship with Spatial, Dassault Systemes' provider of CAA and 3D InterOp translation technology, has been a prime factor in enabling Theorem to schedule the release of its latest CADverter translators in line with the availability of CATIA V5 R14.
Theorem's decision to license and utilize these development tools not only ensures complete compliance with Dassault Systemes CATIA V5 strategy, but also concurrent availability of its CADverter suite for the bi-directional exchange of CATIA V5 R14 data with UGS NX2 & NX3, I-DEAS Master Series 10 & 11, Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire, CADDS, ICEM Surf and Parasolid. In parallel, uni-directional CATIA V5 R14 CADverters for the UGS visualization system VisMockup(JT) and PTC's ProductView visualization system will also be available.
Commenting on the development, Theorem Solutions' General Manager Keith Jeacock said: "Our relationship with Spatial, and the agreements we have in place, are very important to us. Rapid deployment of new CADverters is just part of the story; it is also about customer confidence. Many of our users employ CADverters in 'mission critical' projects. Their ability to do so is entirely dependent on the timely deployment of updated versions of CADverter, as well as the translators' total compatibility with new CATIA V5 releases."
"We have maintained simultaneous delivery of our products with every CATIA V5 update for the past two years now; and shall continue to do so," he adds. "Our collaboration and development strategy ensures that customers get the translators they require, when they need them.
"Reverse engineered translation software cannot be guaranteed to work at all after the introduction of a new revision. By contrast, CADverters enable users to have complete confidence in the continuity and accuracy of their data exchange processes whenever they chose to migrate to the latest revision of CATIA V5."
