Electromoulds Selects Kubotek KeycreatorT NC To Accelerate Manufacturing Of Medical Products
Kubotek USA announced it has received a new order from Electromoulds, a Canadian-based plastic injection mold shop that produces products for a variety of industries including the medical labware industry. Electromoulds has purchased, installed and is currently working with the latest version of Kubotek KeyCreatorTM NC (formerly CADKEY®), geometry-based design and NC programming technology.
KeyCreator NC combines production-oriented 2 and 3 axis programming with a complete mechanical design and drawing environment. This product includes everything needed to quickly read or create solid/surface models and CAD drawings as well as output NC programs and process sheets.
A long time CADKEY user, Electromoulds is well established with a history of creating high-quality products for a variety of industries including home appliance and general consumer products. In addition, Electromoulds designs and manufactures test tubes, beakers, petri dishes, funnels, and medical cassettes for the medical labware industry.
"We purchased KeyCreator NC because as a long-time customer we were confident that this new NC product would be first rate and easy-to-use," said Tony Creti, president of Electromoulds. "We are a small company that moves very quickly and works very efficiently, and we need a CAD product that can do the same. While the majority of our work is in the area of medical labware products, we are a very enterprising company that has been known to produce parts for swimming pools, washing machines-you name it. We feel with KeyCreator we can do it all and do it very well."
The KeyCreator creation engineering product line includes multidimensional design and drafting, NC programming and reverse engineering capabilities. The expanding product line features the company's geometry-based foundation with localized feature editing and sophisticated deformation techniques. These capabilities are particularly useful for design teams working with advanced designs of solid models because KeyCreator blends surface, solids and wireframe modeling, allowing easy modification and editing functionality.
