Zero Wait-State announces DesignState® 3.0 Product Rollout

Zero Wait-State, a provider of Design Compression Technology Solutions and Services for the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) market with clients including John Deere, Raytheon and Dell Computers has released the latest version of their web based products. The DesignState product family addresses companies' needs to effectively communicate by accessing, managing and sharing design data throughout the extended enterprise as well as automating design processes and integrating disparate applications to maximize data reuse. The product suite has been reconfigured and structured into modules to allow companies easier financial access to the technology with the option to invest in specific solutions.

The DesignState Collaborator is the base package and has a web interface to access multiple data sources including system drives and databases such as Parametric Technology Corporation's Intralink data management application. Data sources can be located anywhere on a Local or Wide Area Network (WAN). Search tools are robust and once data is located it can be downloaded or viewed using various viewing applications. In addition, the Collaborator is the framework for all other modules and is an ideal solution for data management for customers that have engineering tools like Pro/Engineer but do not use data management applications to store data. The package also provides non-cad user's access to engineering data stored inside or outside of data management applications.

Additional DesignState Modules include:

•  DesignState Intralink Enterprise Extension-allows more in-depth interaction with Pro/Engineer information stored inside of Intralink. Users can access information from multiple commonspaces, download information, generate Bill of Material information, Manage baselines and move, delete and rename information.

•  DesignState Enterprise Replicator-allows companies to designate information at one site for replication to other sites to minimize WAN traffic. Data can be in file systems or databases. The Replicator can work with commonspaces in Intralink and can be used to merge multiple commonspaces.

•  DesignState Viewable Automator-allows manual or automatic conversion of various data types into a viewable format. Files from Pro/Engineer, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications can be converted into appropriate viewable file types based on process events or by user selection. Converted formats include PDF, IGES, DXF, STEP, HPGL and CGM. This application can also facilitate batch plotting.

•  DesignState Intralink to Agile Integrator-allows information from Intralink to be imported into Agile's PLM solutions. Bill of material structure, binary files and viewables can all be moved from Intralink and kept updated through this powerful module. DesignState's architecture is based on the latest web and database technology. It is architected to perform across the enterprise seamlessly. Its federated structure allows for ultimate flexibility in how the application is deployed so it can work in almost all types of environments. Zero Wait-State has worked with top product development companies to perfect this architecture and it is being leveraged by several Fortune 500 companies as a key component in their product development process environment.

ZWS offers a unique blend of web-based solutions and professional services to streamline the development process, improve communications and share design data throughout the extended enterprise. Further information on Zero Wait-State can be found @ www.zerowait-state.com .
