Gerber Technology Announces New Appointments in Product Management and Global Marketing Organizations

Gerber Technology announced appointments to four key positions in its product management and global marketing organizations.

Hal Osthus has been appointed executive director of product management, overseeing development of Gerber Technology's hardware, software and service products. Hal joined Gerber Technology in 1984 with the acquisition of RPN Systems that became the company's GERBERmover product line, and subsequently served as general manager, Computerized Manufacturing Systems and Cutting Edge Systems (CMS/CES). In 1998 Hal was appointed director, CAD/CAM/CMS marketing services and in 2001 he joined the newly formed product management group as director, hardware product management. Hal holds several U.S. and foreign patents on both mechanical and software innovations.

Todd Rhodes has been appointed director, hardware systems product management. Todd comes to Gerber Technology from sister company Gerber Coburn, where he held the position of director, product management. In his new role, Todd will oversee product management for four of Gerber Technology's hardware-based product lines: multi-ply cutters, spreaders, single-ply cutters, and plotters & peripherals. Todd holds a bachelor's degree from Miami University (Ohio).

Jessica Hunt joins Gerber Technology as regional marketing manager, Americas. In this role, Jessica will oversee the development and implementation of the regional marketing plan for the Americas, including direct marketing and telemarketing initiatives, to achieve overall sales and business objectives. Jessica has both sales and marketing management experience, most recently as eastern region district sales manager for Dot Foods, Inc. and, previous to that, manager, marketing operations for Digitas, Inc. Jessica holds a bachelor's degree from Illinois University.

Cheryl Tuttle joins Gerber Technology as public relations specialist, responsible for management of Gerber Technology's public relations activities worldwide. Cheryl most recently managed the corporate publishing and public relations functions at Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., Inc. Cheryl holds a graduate degree from Syracuse University and a bachelor's degree from Allegheny College.
