SME Aligns With Industrial Press Inc. to Offer Additional Manufacturing References and Guides

The Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) and Industrial Press Inc. are collaborating in a new joint initiative to provide enhanced authoritative manufacturing and engineering references and guides. SME is one of the world's largest publishers of manufacturing technical information and industry news and produces hundreds of videos.

An early product of this new alliance, "Value Analysis Tear-Down," the next book in a long list of resources is expected to be released in December 2004. The selection of future books will be generated by SME's recently launched Technical Community Network (TCN). The network consists of seven technical communities representing key areas within the manufacturing enterprise. These include: Rapid Technologies & Additive Manufacturing, Product & Process Design and Management, Engineering Materials Applications, Machining & Material Removal, Forming & Fabricating, Automated Manufacturing & Assembly and Manufacturing Education & Research. All back-list editions will continue to be available through SME and new titles or new editions will be announced in the near future.
