SmartOrg to Introduces New Version of Portfolio NavigatorT
SmartOrg Inc., leader in value-based management systems, introduced 3.2 of its Portfolio NavigatorT system at the 2004 PDMA International Conference. Companies use Portfolio Navigator to evaluate and manage the value produced by their investments in new products. Portfolio Navigator's library of dynamic templates helps managers and teams identify the key technical and commercial factors that drive economic value. The web-based application enables users to see the explicit effect of uncertainty on this value. Armed with this knowledge, managers can take early steps to mitigate risk and focus on producing higher returns.
Version 3.2 extends the capability of Portfolio Navigator to handle multiple datasets to assist users in choosing among scenarios. "Mountain Charts" enable tracking of portfolio performance against plans and goals over long time horizons. A pipeline chart shows the status of products and opportunities in the current pipeline; those launched and scheduled to be launched, as well as those that have been killed.
