Formation Systems' Optiva Receives Microsoft .NET Connected Logo Certification

Formation Systems announced at National Manufacturing Week (McCormick Place, South Hall, booth #4811) that its flagship solution, Optiva, has been awarded the Microsoft .NET Connected Logo. This certification assures customers that Optiva has been independently verified to meet the high standards that Microsoft Corp. has established for interoperability. Further, customers can be confident that .NET Connected solutions such as Optiva are built on the Microsoft .NET Framework, support Web services capabilities and are optimized for the next generation of Internet-enabled computing.

"Solutions that are awarded the .NET Connected Logo enable customers to more quickly and easily integrate with their business partners, connect with their customers, and provide the right information to employees," said Peter McKiernan, senior product manager, Developer and Platform Evangelism Group at Microsoft Corp. "Today's manufacturers are demanding seamlessly connected solutions and by embracing .NET in their process product lifecycle management solution Formation Systems is well positioned to meet these customer needs."

Microsoft .NET Connected applications connect information, people, systems and devices through use of the Microsoft .NET Framework and Web services that rely on a universal language to exchange data. By leveraging Web services, companies worldwide can link their business processes across enterprises to streamline transactions with employees, partners, customers and suppliers.

"We are proud that Optiva has qualified for the Microsoft .NET Connected Logo," said Trent Landreth, CEO of Formation Systems. ".NET certification reinforces our commitment to providing our customers with PLM solutions that enable customers to integrate business and industrial processes, achieve visibility across the full breadth and depth of the global supply chain and enable people and groups across the organization to collaborate to ensure that innovative ideas become great products."
