RuleStream, RPM Gain Momentum in 2004

RuleStream reported continued expansion of its rules-driven product management (RPM) business in 2004, marking the end of a year in which RPM emerged as a strategic product lifecycle management focus for discrete manufacturers worldwide.

RPM is based on enterprise software that allows discrete manufacturers to respond to customer-specific orders more rapidly, accurately and efficiently. RuleStream is the RPM market leader, offering patent-pending software technology that automates complex decisions for design, quotation and manufacturing processes.

RuleStream more than doubled its customer footprint in 2004, as the company added new customers and received follow-on orders from existing customers.

Discrete manufacturers such as Fresno Valves, Lytron and Armstrong Pumps are among new RuleStream customers in 2004. The company also received orders from existing customers like GE and New Hampshire Ball Bearings and continued to serve other customers such as NASA Glenn, Lockheed Martin and Babcock & Wilcox.

The company built on its strategic partnerships with design industry leader SolidWorks and benefited from contributions to the bottom-line from some of North America's most respected CAD/CAM/CAE resellers-including cSHARE, CAD Graphics West, DesignPoint, Javelin Technologies and Trimech.

In support of this growth of its business, RuleStream expanded its management team in 2004, adding senior enterprise executives to head the company's marketing and sales organizations. Gary Kuba was named vice president of marketing in July and has increased the attention RuleStream is getting from the media and analyst communities. In September, Gary Fedor joined RuleStream as vice president of global sales, establishing enterprise level, value-based selling teams and processes that have already provided benefit to the company.

"This was a milestone year for RPM and for RuleStream, as reflected by the growing customer acceptance and industry recognition," said Dave Vredenburgh, RuleStream's chief executive officer. "As the company that is driving the RPM space, we applaud this momentum, and we look forward to even more significant progress in 2005. RuleStream remains committed to leading the way in RPM, developing and delivering more advanced RPM solutions to manufacturers worldwide."
