DP Technology to Demonstrate ESPRIT's Swiss-style Machine Programming at PMTS, May 3-5, 2005
ESPRIT 2005 offers the ability to program multi-axis Swiss-style turning centers and realize their potential for single set-up, versatile, accurate, unattended machining. DP Technology Corp., CAM industry leader, will provide in-depth demonstrations of this latest CAM software at PMTS booth 621.
"ESPRIT accommodates the special demands of your Swiss machines and makes it easy to create programs that take full advantage of Swiss-style capabilities with comprehensive tool path creation, simulation, collision detection and accurate G-code generation," said Chuck Mathews, DP Technology vice president.
In addition, ESPRIT offers CNC programmers a compete solution to programming parts for all multi-tasking machines. Until now, CAM required end-users and/or resellers to devote time to post processor writing and machine definition-formerly routine steps that have increased in complexity. ESPRIT's out-of-the-box CAM solution eliminates this complicated and costly implementation process. Developed in cooperation with machine tool builders, ESPRIT 2005 now delivers complete pre-configured and factory-tested solutions for programming multitasking machine tools from Citizen, Mori Seiki, Mazak, and others.
Dynamic Solid Simulation- new options provide more dynamic and realistic views of the entire machine setup, including part, fixtures and machine tool. The simulation offers collision detection between the part and tool, the part and tool with holder or the part, tool with holder and the entire machine. Machining movements are displayed in real-time with the simulation reflecting the actual machine feedrates. Full, Rapid or Rapid Index simulations have been added for milling operations.
Additional Rotary Milling Support- faster, more flexible rotary machining is available with an enhanced Wrap Contouring machining cycle. Previously, Wrap Contouring operations used flat 2D geometry and then "wrapped" the geometry around a defined diameter. Programmers can now machine 3-dimensional features in their true position and are no longer restricted to cylindrical shapes. The cycle supports wrapped and flat geometry and allows for radial and perpendicular walls.
DP Technology maintains its worldwide headquarters and product development team in Camarillo, California, with sales and support operations in Europe, Asia, and North and South America.
