KIWI Software GmbH Announces Support for AutoCAD 2006

KIWI Software GmbH, announced support for AutoCAD® 2006 next generation design software from Autodesk, Inc.

With ProSteel 3D and AutoCAD 2006, customers can get the most out of their data and realize their design ideas faster. ProSteel 3D's focus on the 3D design and having the best tools available in 3D are the keys for success.

All dialogue boxes in ProSteel 3D have a consistent design and behavior. Commonly used commands are found in the same location. With the implementation of Tool Tips and intelligent dialogue graphics, which adapt to user input, it is now almost unnecessary to look at the help files or user manuals. An on demand, integrated calculator now allows calculations during data input. ProSteel 3D Templates can be preferentially sorted and recurring entries can be generated with a single press of a button. The new Heads-Up design interface of Autodesk completes the easy to use features. Input is directly at the cursor and so focus always stays on the design! Our DetailCenter uses the new drafting and annotations tools that enable better, easier and faster dimensioning.

"By integrating with the latest features in AutoCAD 2006, KIWI Software enables our joint structural steel design customers to realize big productivity gains," said John Sanders, vice president of Autodesk's Platform Technology Division. "We are enthusiastic about the quick and strong support of KIWI Software GmbH for AutoCAD 2006."

"The long term relationship with Autodesk gives us the opportunity to concentrate on the needs of the Steel Construction and Design market. The combined ProSteel3D/AutoCAD package is the key for the success of the thousands of clients we share in the building industry, because it is necessary to see the building as one whole project, especially in big projects," said Joachim Friedrich, CEO and CTO of KIWI Software.
