Striker Systems Announces Support for AutoCAD 2006

Striker Systems announced support for AutoCAD® 2006 next generation design software from Autodesk, Inc.

The Striker Systems FAB Professional and DIE Professional sheet metal forming and fabrication products provide seamless integration with AutoCAD 2006. With a focus on productivity improvements in this release, AutoCAD 2006 helps Striker Systems customers maintain a competitive advantage.

With FAB Professional 2006, sheet metal fabricators get advanced part design, flat part development, dynamic part nesting, and automated CNC programming. By integrating FAB Professional with AutoCAD 2006, the world's leading customizable and extendable CAD software for 2D drafting, this focused design and manufacturing technology is delivered in a single, comprehensive CAD/CAM environment. Striker's stamping die design solution, DIE Professional, similarly takes advantage of the latest AutoCAD 2006 features. The expanded table capabilities make it much easier to extract critical design data, and the enhanced Sheet Set Manager simplifies the maintenance of numerous design and detail drawings.

"By integrating with the latest features in AutoCAD 2006, Striker Systems enables our joint sheet metal fabrication design customers to realize high productivity gains," said John Sanders, vice president of Autodesk's Platform Technology Division. "We are pleased to have the strong support of Striker Systems for AutoCAD 2006."

"Striker Systems values its twenty year association with Autodesk. The unparalleled flexibility brought to the sheet metal fabrication market through the Striker Systems/Autodesk partnership continues to be a key component of our success," said Kevin Dudley, president of Striker Systems. "The release of AutoCAD 2006 further highlights the benefits of our continued relationship."
